Swim Classes For Babies

Beginner Splashers (6-12 month) – 30 minute lessons –

An adult (18 years or older) is required to be in the pool with each child. The teaching ratio will be 6 babies and adults with 1 coach. This class begins the aquatic learning experience by using fun methods that include songs, games and toys. During the guided lessons, the adults and their child will learn basic skills such as water orientation, monkey walking, climbing out of the pool, floating, breath control, gentle underwater submersion, kicking and jumping in and returning to the wall. There is a heavy emphasis on the bond between the adult and the child.

Intermediate Splashers (13-36 months)- 30 minute lessons –

An adult (18 years or older) is required to be in the pool with each child. The teaching ratio will be 6 babies and adults with 1 coach. This class will build upon the goals learned in Beginner Splashers, but because the children are older, the expectations and activities will be more advanced yet age-appropriate. The children will continue to hone and improve their skills and techniques of floating, submersion, and kicking. The adults continue their bonding with their child while learning techniques that will enhance their child’s experience.
